Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver Titanium Watch

Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has created an exceptional series of timepieces based upon on its extremely well-received Maxi Marine Diver. The new models showcase polished titanium or a combination of titanium and 18-karat rose gold, and offer an expanded case diameter that subtly yet effectively redefines Ulysse Nardin's emblematic high luxury dive watch.

The Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver Titanium watches measure 45mm in diameter, exceeding other Maxi Marine Diver references by just over two millimeters. Integral to the polished titanium cases are robust shoulders that provide protection for the screw-down winding crown. Both titanium and titanium and gold models are accentuated by richly detailed black or silvery dials with a wave motif that immediately evokes the rich nautical history of Ulysse Nardin; this heritage is also captured by the subsidiary seconds and power reserve indicator whose vertical arrangement recalls ship chronometers that guided mariners safely across the sea. The unidirectional rotating bezel--essential for the measurement of dive times--features polished rose gold or titanium graduations against a background in wave-textured rubber. Extremely bold Superluminova material applied to the skeletonized hands, wedge-shaped hour markers, and the bezel dot assure brilliant visibility in poor or nonexistent lighting. The flat sapphire crystal features anti-reflective treatment on both sides to optimize legibility from all angles.

Ticking beneath the screw-secured caseback with its sapphire exhibition window is the self-winding UN-26 caliber, which has proven its mettle for years inside the Ulysse Nardin 1846 Chronometer. Meticulously assembled and adjusted by Ulysse Nardin watch, the caliber has undergone and passed 15 days of precision testing by the Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres, a fact attested to by the words "Certified Chronometer" adorning the seconds subdial. Aesthetic refinements to the UN-26 caliber include a circular Cotes de Geneve pattern on the bridges, and a ruthenium-finished central rotor bearing the Ulysse Nardin anchor. In addition to the power reserve indicator which reveals the status of the barrel's 42-hour reserve, the caliber offers a date display, and a hacking seconds feature to enable precise setting to a time signal.

The Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver Titanium watch is completed by a wave-patterned rubber strap incorporating elements in titanium or 18-karat rose gold engraved with the Ulysse Nardin logo. A secure triple folding clasp with push-button releases ensure a secure and elegant fit to the wearer. The Maxi Marine Diver Titanium is water resistant to 300 meters. A small oval medallion affixed to the side of the case bears the unique individual number of each timepiece.
