The hi-tech looks and performance of the latest Tissot watches bring back memories of some of the brand's classic models, according to one website.

New pieces in the luxury Swiss watchmaker's V8 collection are based on the dashboards of top-end sports cars as a tribute to motorsport - with which Tissot is so closely linked.

The website reveals: "Tissot has a long-standing relationship with the world of motor sport and the Tissot V8 watches are the perfect expression of performance that lasts."

It suggests that the three new watches in the V8 collection will appeal to a wide range of people as they offer "contemporary attitude" and "a timeless chronograph".

Watches in the set feature a quartz chronograph movement, are water resistant to 100 metres and come in a stainless steel case.

Tissot was founded in 1853 in Le Locle, Switzerland and bears the slogan Innovators by Tradition.
