
Bruce Pask, writing a piece for the New York Times, says this year's event was quite the opposite of the "quiet post-crisis scene a year ago".
Mr Pask points to the display by Baume et Mercier as a particular highlight.

This year's SIHH combined a mix of the chic, the historic and the complex, but what it "confirmed" for the writer is that the bright future of the fashion watch industry depends just as much on tradition as it does innovation.
Artya and Ritmo Mvndo were two less-established luxury watch brands to make their SIHH debut in 2010 and could be ones for timepiece fanatics to watch out for in the future.
